I am a Senior Web Designer/Developer living and working in Cincinnati, Ohio.
I LIKE TO WEAR HATS
Sometimes, I wear actual hats so that my bald head doesn’t burn, and other times I wear “hats.” Working in a small team, like where I’m currently employed, it’s a must. I enjoy client interaction and providing artistic direction for various projects, including: websites, microsites, user interfaces, online courses, brand identity, print materials, photography, and videos... but I don’t mind helping out in other business areas, when needed. Depending on the day, you may see me knee-deep in code for a new website, reviewing proposals, editing out pesky areas in a photograph, selling our services to potential clients, or giving feedback about footage from a recent video shoot.
I LIKE MAKING PRETTY THINGS
My background consists of design and development of user interfaces and multimedia products for b2b markets, government, colleges, schools, artists/performers, e-Learning companies, and other types of businesses. Currently, my job focuses on interacting with clients, designing custom-built or content-managed responsive websites, and creating materials for web that meet the clients’ brand standards. I love projects that give me the freedom to be as creative as possible, and I also aim to please my customers. #makethelogobigger
I LIKE LEARNING NEW THINGS
I'm a quick learner, and I keep up-to-date with new programs, technology, and web trends. Most of the programs that I use on a daily basis didn't exist when I was in school (remember when a “good” web designer used tables for layout?); self-teaching and exploration have helped me get to where I am today. I am not afraid to step out of my comfort zone, learn new things, and adapt.
I LIKE BEING NICE
Clients love me. Co-workers give me high-fives. I am a “people person” and thrive in an environment where I get to interact with other creative people and developers on a daily basis. I am frequently asked to present my designs to clients in order to explain design decisions, answer questions, and receive valuable input from the customer. Even after project completion, I provide ongoing client training and support for site edits, revisions, and updates.
